If you can only get good results by configuring Krita to use the
rec2020 profile, then likely you have set the Eizo monitor to use the
rec2020 configuration(which is separate from the icc profile). All the
other applications you mentioned aren't color managed by default, so
they're not doing any interpretation on the images, which you monitor
is distorting from sRGB to rec2020.
If I were you I would try to check your images on several other
devices. Try to avoid apple products as a number of them are using
wide gamut screens as well(though not as wide gamut as rec2020), so
they might show a similar distortion. I am saying this because if you
continue like this you might find that you are actually wasting far
more work because of the configuration.
Krita by default is set up for sRGB. It is not possible for any
program to tell automatically that a screen is wide gamut like an Eizo
screen might be. There is simply no way to ask that information from
the operating system.
