Oh-oh. I wish we had been in contact before. I'm not actually sure this is possible at this moment... It's now my task to mentor Siddharth, and I simply haven't got a clue at all about OIIO. I had to google for it, even...

I really need more time than we have now to look at OIIO and investigate its suitability for Krita. We used to use ImageMagick, but that failed for us because of lack of api stability and lack of support for various colorspaces. Before I'm really sure about OIIO, I wouldn't want to commit us there. And our current file format support is actually very good, thanks to Cyrille's work.

I will definitely investigate in depth -- but we simply cannot change Siddharth's project at this late a stage, I am afraid.
