Creating CMYK colors.

I want to use numeric values to create specific background 
colors in CMYK. The colors I am interested in are 
the "difficult" CMYK colors like browns, blues and purples.  
I know that Krita can produce CMYK graphics but I am 
looking for a way to create specific CMYK colors using 
numeric values (either 0-255 or by percentages.) The color 
picker in Scribus works in RGB or HSV but not CMYK.
