Selections on the Adjustment layers

The selection is shown because currently we show the selection of the active
layer. The selection is used as a mask.
The adjustment layer works like a filter mask, just as a layer. You could do
that with transparency masks to but then you can't edit the adjustment layer
anymore.

The only advantage of the Selection i see is that we could eliminate
