The design document is on my "Dynamic Brush TODO" list ;p and it's very close 
to be the next item:
1) implement a basic bristle like shape
2) have a correctly working speed sensor

Once that's done, I am pretty confident that the architecture would be fine. 
Except maybe for the coloring part, but I don't expect much difficulties on 
that area, so my next todo item will then be :
3) write a design document !
