Sigh, so actually, (except for the openexr one) no filter seems to use flatten 
anymore :-/
The PNG export already takes the projection. And apparently, it's not that
KisPaintLayerSP l = new KisPaintLayer(img, "projection", OPACITY_OPAQUE, 
img->projection());
changing the projection's parent image makes much of a difference, either ...
