For KWord RGB (u8/u16)) and CMYK (u8/u16) should be enough.
Same thing for Karbon IMO.
Well, maybe gray; but that depends on how we are going to be printing
color on a black/white printer. IIRC thats something that cups handles,
or even QPainter does but I don't know for sure.
