Variations and Shear Layer dialogs

Hi,

1- 
Up till now, the Variations dialog (Image > Variations) does nothing. Will this
be working, or will it be left out?

2-
Too late now, but for the next unfreeze: the Shear Layer dialog has a label
saying "Shear Image".
