krita and openexr support?

How thoroughly are you planning to support openexr?  ie
layers/multichannel, etc?  Also do you support float images?

Blender has been adding all sorts of openexr support due to its need
for a format that is good for multipass rendering unfortunately there
doesn't appear to be much in the way of free tools that will be able
to take advantage of these improvements.
