I'm still not sure about that. I mean, you'd need not only the qrect
of the image (or of the layer?), but also the qrect of the area you're
converting, right? It somehow sounds very messy, almost as if we're trying
to mix paint filter functionality with colorspace functionality -- since
filters know about the image rect, the paint device rect and the rect
they are processing.
