About iterators and selection

Hi,
Why the selection stuffs are not in iterators and KisQuantum class ? I think 
it's pointless if all algorithms have to take selection into account. My idea 
was that iteratorPixelSelectionBegin would return an iterrator which handle 
selection, and that iteratorPixelBegin return an iterator for algorithm which 
do not care about selections.
