Progress info for the scaling code

Actually, this is not the reason. I inserted kapp->processEvents() in the 
for-loop that does the scaling calculations. With this one can even draw 
while the scaling code runs, but the progress info is still not shown. It 
looks like the progress info code is never called and I don't understand why.
