Hi +1 for the clean and easy interface and +1 for ask the VDG.

I ask in the VDG Hangout and the result about customize the interface was to support something like Firefox customize mode as Thomas write in his blog (http://sessellift.wordpress.com/2014/10/28/shared-values-%E2%87%92-shared-ideas-what-we-can-learn-from-firefox-australis/).

So if you think this would be a good idea and you would like to support this idea, it would be a pleasure for the VDG to support you.

For the status bar there is a HIG. If you would like to discuss the status bar and the space information. please start a forum thread at the VDG forum.

And in this case probably also not needed because my point is the following: I find the "Space information" item very useful. But it is currently not visible by default. I found it only accidently back then. New users would surely not be repelled by this additional information. So what about making the "Space information" item visible by default (see kde-baseapps/dolphin/build/src/dolphin_generalsettings.cpp, line 90)?
