Ah, well, that's easy to explain. I basically do not use the sidebar.
I tend to use one existing konqueror, open a new tab, and go to the home
directory - or to an ftp site or whatever - and do my file management
operations.

Also, it does not exactly work like the sidebar, since you can view the files
in addition to the directories. I find it useful also to move files around:
- expand the directory,
- find the file or files to move,
- drag it to its destination directory.

Anyway, since it displays exactly the same informations of the "detailed"
view, can't we keep it instead of the other views? It actually behaves the
same, when clicking on a directory, that is, it descends in the hyerarchy.

What can be done from the "Detailed" view that can't in the tree view?

Is there some feature of the tree view that can be hard to use (and to get
accustomed to) for beginners? I'm not too familiar with other operating
systems, but I think the old MacOs "Finder" had a similar view, and if it is
an interface already learned by our potential users I think it would be
useful to keeo it.
