not really. it requires finding the key combo, remembering what it is and 
performing a multi-input-device action. the cognitive load is therefore 
pretty high.

the other side of this is this question: "does one know they want to open a 
file from the start, or do they only consider this after they have begun 
browsing?" obviously there are instances of both, but which is the common 
case? the workflow should follow the same steps as the mental process.
