Extending Konqueror

Guten tag

I'd like to extend Konqueror with an extra right-click menu item,
possible an extra top menu item too.

The menu items should only appear on the file:/ protocol.
I want the menu items to vary slightly, depending on what the
current/selected folder contains.

That probably means that I want Konqueror to notify me when
right-click on a file:/ item is performed, but before (or while?) the
context menu is rendered.

Could someone pretty, pretty please point me in the right direction?
