iconview behaviour changing, possible or not?

You can make a right-click menu showing only the relevant actions, check 
kdeaddons/konq-plugins/arkplugin. You won't be able to change the icons, 
though, but if what you want is the ability to update directories, commit 
files and check logs, it'll be enough.
