How to configure toolbar?

Running konqueror 3.2.2 on KDE 3.2.3 on knoppix 3.4,
and having a problem...

When I select tools->Configure toolbars, I see a
window on the left ("available actions") but if I
select an action that does not have an icon next to
it, and click the right arrow, the action shows up in
the right window ("current actions") but I don't know
how to associate it with an icon, so it doesn't show
up in the toolbar.

How do I get the action to show up with an icon in the toolbar?
