Konqueror Embedded - just a thought..

Hi,

I'm not a very technical gifted person, however it seems to me like
Konqueror Embedded running on smartphones would be an excellent fit.
Cellphone-producers are frightened by the tought of Microsoft, they fear
staying with Symbian as much as they fear leaving Symbian, and are all
looking for viable alternatives. Currently Opera is the only
.html-browser for embedded devices (at least that I'm aware of, not
counting wap), and my guess is that the cellphone-producers want
alternatives.

For cell-phone producers Konqueror seems like an excellent solution,
allowing them to keep an exit in case they become dependent on a
software provider, while at the same time providing excellent
standards-compliance.

For the open source community the smartphone-market could become a huge
victory, being the first consumer mass-market where open source software
can become dominant. Seems to me like you're in a good position to
receive some kind of research-grant from the large handset-producers?
Does anyone know of any embedded devices distributed with Konqueror
Embedded?

Please don't chop my head off if this is totally far-fetched - like I
said I'm an outsider. :)

Best regards,
