And an addition (and the reason why I used "Keep cache in synch"): when
selecting "Use Cache If Possible", sometimes the wrong version is displayed
and you manually have to reload it. I really think that something is messed
up here.
If I understand correctly the "Use Cache If Possible" should speed up the
browsing by reading the pages from the cache, if they are present. This
results in the above annoyance, that you don't see the current version of the
page. Ok, I accept it.
The "Keep cache in synch" is the default and should work for all the people.
The documents are saved in the cache and if the user visits the same page, it
checkes if the document in cache is up to date or not, and retrieves the new
version if not. I can't verify it right now, but I accept that it works this
way. So the document is present in the cache even in this case. Now as I said
on saving, it should just save/print/view source whatever is in cache and
shouldn't try to synch with the server.
If caching is disabled it's acceptable that you cannot save the file if you
are offline, but even in this case the document content (text, images, etc.)
are already downloaded and stored (don't know if they are stored in memory or
also in a temporary file - not in the cache), so it should be possible to
enable saving if you go offline.
This way Konqueror would work the same towards the user, regardless of the
cache setting.
