Script driving konqueror to generate web images

Hi,

Is it possible to somehow drive Konqueror with a script to a website and then
save the rendered page as an image?

Here's a more detailed description of what I want to do :

I want to create a small website that will let people enter the URL of some
website. A php/perl/bash etc. script (or C/C++ program) should then use
konqueror (or maybe just khtml) to fetch the page, grab the rendered page as
an image, save the image (possibly manipulate the image with imagemagick or
similar) and then add that image to an archive of webpage screenshots.

To control how the page is rendered I will ofcourse also need to be able to
tell Konqueror how big the display area is and various other parameters that
affect the rendering, that would be set when Konqueror is launchd as a normal
app.

Can this be done? and if so, can someone guide me in the right direction of
where I can find some documentation on how to do this?

Thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide.
