find files is so slow on my computer

Hello!

I continued looking for myself to see if I could find something that was posted earlier on thsi problem. I found 

Bug 34888: directories with thousands of files really Slow down the find feature

which describes what I experienced adequately. It seems to be open still. It doesn't seem critical, but I find that it makes me avoid using the tool.
