How to get r/w smb ioslave?

Hi,

I am using RH7.3 and Konqueror 3.0.3 that came with KDE 3.0.3. I can't write
to SMB shares getting an error "smb write is not supported". I have Samba
2.2.6.

Which component should I upgrade and to which version in order to get the
SMB write support?
