Hi Duncan,
we keep repeating this discussion every few weeks so here's what's up. I
just had my last final, tomorrow I'm starting coding and my TODO for
the break is:
a) fixing major folderjobs issues in KMal, clean up the code, finish
merging,
b) rewriting some kicker drawing routines, make it transparent,
c) extract event handling to a proxy class in Kopete, so that plugins
can connect in a very flexible way to events that interest them,
d) finish the new tab widget.

This is the order things will happen. To follow the tab widget progress
look at
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46726
where I'll be posting comments.
Doug Hanley also has a tab like widget in the works, he simulates tabs
with button bar. So we'll see how that will turn out.

Zack
