[Kexi] problems importing from MySQL database

Hello all,

I'm trying to import a database from MySQL.  In MySQL's CLI interface,
in phpMyAdmin, and in Knoda, it works fine.  Unfortunately, when I try
to import to Kexi, I get strange results.  The type of several fields
becomes 'blob,' and the contents are also odd--things like "[BLOB -
7B]" and "[BLOB - 15 B]".  In the source db, these fields are of the
type longtext.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.  Thanks!
