Hi Friedrich. I'm answering this question fitst.
It's a simple script in kdb/autotests/headers/generate_HeadersTest.sh
to execute by hand (for now; maybe it can be automatized). It
generates includes for forward headers and CMakeLists.txt.
The test is a build-time test, part of autotests (however the result
isn't listed in autotests, just shows a warning/error of failure).
