Breakpoint keeps KDevelop (gdb?) from debugging

It hangs while starting my program => the view is switched to debug, but 
i guess gdb does not reach the "run" command. KDevelop is still 
responsive, I have to abort the debug process (Esc / Stop).
When starting KDevelop from the konsole, i get the log message

execute composite (GDBDebugger::DebugJob(0xca1d6f0, name = "work01 
(debug)") )

which seems quite normal (at least, I get that message when the debug 
runs normal, too), but nothing after that message (until I cancel the job)

Nope, not yet.

Yes, sure - I was hoping someone else observed something similar, maybe 
in an open source project.
I'll let you know if I find a simple example!
