The usefulness of the problems tab

Hello,

I wonder what the problems tab is good for. Currently it shows a whole 
plethora of problems - problems in the parser or preprocessor of kdevelop that 
is.
While browsing along some bug reports, I suddenly got the idea, that this tab 
may in fact supposed to be a aid or help for the coder and should show the 
problems in my code and not in the parser :-) Maybe to avoid syntax errors? So 
whats the deal with it?
