application icon in Gnome menu

  Thank you for the reply, it works.
  The appname.desktop is just under Automanager, in applnk.
  Now the progam link name can appear in both gnome and kde,
  but not the icon, (icon can only appear in kde, I'll try to find out
  why)

By the way, I NEVER have the chnace nor necessity nor possession of a
tuxedo,
and here is very hot, much too hot., I usually wear sandles.
