translating: mission impossible.

I have created an app, with KDevelop... and made the first release, everything
is ok.
I'm using an admin directory copied from the lattest kde-common.
I find impossible to translate the application, lots of weird errors.
- From not finding the es.po (translating to spanish/español) because of
srcdir!=buildir (bug that I reported) to automagially loosing the merge
target to having duplicated strings in the es.po file.
That makes me wonder, am I the only one trying to translate an application ?
Is my setup too weird ? Am I the only one trying to translate an application
with KDevelop 3.0.3 (it makes the builddir != srcdir by default).
Does anybody know of a solution ? I'm already lost in scripts I don't really
understand at the admin directory.
