As far as I know, the best approach is to use one of the project templates to 
create a simple project along the lines you are working, and then import you 
existing code.  It's not as smooth as I would like, but all the options for 
importing an existing project require you have some kind of automake, qmake, 
etc., configuration already setup for the project.  There's now way to start 
with pure source, AFAIK, and import it as a project.
