problems with translation of project

Hi,

according to an older handbook of kdevelop (I assume 2.X) I tried to
add a german translation for my project, but the generated de.po is
empty. Even though I used some I18N Calls and have an rc file. If I
create a .pot via make -f admin/Makefile.common package-messages, a
$app.pot is created under the po directory. But I'd like to use
kdevelop for this, as it seems that the translation isn't used when
starting the programm...
