Configure error

Hi Claudiu,

1) Comment out the offending kconfig_compiler check in admin/acinclude.m4.in
(dnl on line 559). Everything should compile then.

2) You should build KDevelop in the KDE install directory. Did you have
$KDEDIR and $QTDIR set to the proper directories before compilation? You need
kbuildsycoca only to provide KDevelop proper access tables to the system
directories.
Look at the install instructions again on the KDevelop website or in the
slowly upgrading user manual. The user manual should install in SuSE help.
But you can access it on the website as well.

3) IMPORTANT: KDevelop has been restructured on CVS starting October, 1st. It
ist not named Gideon and cannot be run in parallel to older KDevelop versions
any more. You must take care before you build a new version. You have to
uninstall Gideon completely, before attempting a new build.

a) If you already did compile from CVS later than 30 September, update CVS
back to 30 September, run Makefile.cvs and configure (to get the right file
structure set up in the Makefiles), then make uninstall.

b) Do a normal update for current CVS again.

c) Build and install as usual. You should get a notice that KDevelop 3.0.a7
has been installed. Gideon must not be mentioned any more. Otherwise
uninstall and try a complete CVS checkout.
