Moving project folders

HI Folks
  When I do a project using kdevelop. The makefiles and configuration scrips 
are automatically generated. Now when I want to move my project folder to a 
new location. What would be the correct way to do this.

1) just move the folder and forget everything.
2) Move the folder and do autoconf automake ./configure
3) Some other approach

KDevelop: 2.1.5
