KDevelop trashed my project

My project was working fine, then suddenly KDevelop starts trying to compile 
the C++ stuff with gcc not g++. Anyone seen this before, and how can I fix 
it? Yes I know it's a problem with the autotools scripts, but since KDevelop 
created them, it's KDevelop's problem. Other projects seem to work fine. It's 
just this particular one. Thanks,
