Lots of really great stuff going on with Gideon. I personally do not
like the IDEAI because I dont like having to click the views i want and
have to click them again to remove them so that I can see the windows
underneath the projected tabs, very anoying.
I love the normal child mode with docking, i love that view.
I actually am really starting to like working in gideon, just some
things that are glitchy make it almost impossible for me to use it to
make a real project, mostly projects breaking indefinitely etc. the fact
that all the makefiles have to be compatible with normal compiling
processes makes it hard to keep up with the "real work" for example, in
windows using either c++builder or VC, you dont get scared of
adding/removing units etc halfway through your project, because the
makefiles are updated and are worked automatically. In gideon, if I make
a project, and remove units, the makefiles break, and compiling busts
down, I have to go into the makefile and remove the files listed that I
had removed. (your thinking, so? well.. i dont have time to modify
makefiles, i just wanna code my program hehe)
anyways, loving gideon, want to put in my own inputs, but otherwise
there are a lot of great things coming out of it... one thing I would
like to see (and i'm sure everyone would) is QT and Gideon being more
integrated into eachother.. GUI and coding nowadays, are hand in hand.
