hm, might be the good old clipboard bug 
(http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=faq.html#35). The X Clipboard 
fills up and it takes seconds to process the data.

This is one of the few cases where you shouldn't upgrade to the latest version 
but downgrade to Qt 2.3.1 (or upgrade to KDE3).
