click on error produces error message "file not found"

Is it possible, that you have set your LANG-variable to other than blank?
IF you set LANG=GERMAN or other, than is kdevelop not be able to parse 
error-text. kdevelop is only searching for original (english) messages. When 
you get german messages, kdevelop can't generate the location of the files. I 
think, that's a missing feature.
