using library

Hello everyone,

I made a dynamic library (smtp.so) and I copied it in usr/lib and 
/usr/local/lib but when I try to use it with kdevelop
I can't!!  I have this message :

/usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld cannot find -lsmtp

So my question is: how to modify  kdevelop  to add  pathes where my  
libraries are?
