Incremental link

Hi,

Is there any way of doing an incremental link?

I've tried specifying -i on the linker options, but this breaks automake
when it does the "can compiler generate executables" test
which of cource it can't as I don't want it to

Or is there a way of specifying extra linker options that are not passed
through automake.

Perhaps the developers could consider a check-box to do incremental linking.


I'm writing modules with more than one input object, so -c does not work.
