KDevelop freezes and crashes in debugging

I'm running KDE 2.2.1 (Mandrake 8.1), and since yesterday I have been unable 
to debug my program due to KDevelop problems (the only thing I was doing 
around the time was installing SDL RPMS from www.libsdl.org over my existing 
SDL libs). When I run KDevelop from a console, the output ends with this 
(after a lot of warnings that are probably 'normal'):
