kdevelop bug: extra blank lines when editing files with CRLF

kdevelop version: 2.1.3 (KDE-3.0.3-0.7) (RedHat Linux 7.3)

When editing a file that uses the DOS-style CRLF \r\n EOLs rather than the
UNIX-style LF \n EOLs, kdevelop will insert a few extra blank lines at
certain places in the file.  There might be one extra blank line inserted
for every few hundred lines of source code.  For example, a 1000-line source
file might have 5 extra blank lines inserted at various places throughout
the file.  I remember encountering this bug in older versions of kdevelop
also.
