KDevelop 3.0 (aka gideon in the HEAD branch) supports the KTextEditor
interface, so you can plug in any editor you like. An NEdit interface is in
the KDevelop CVS (parts/nedit), it is also possible to use kvim (in KDE's
kdeextragear-1 module). Kate (KDE's editor) has of course the best
KTextEditor support.
AFAIK no one has written an EMacs wrapper yet, if you have enough time and
nerves, please go ahead ;)
