Linking Error in Linux!

Hello everybody,
 
           The problem is like this:
   A function is defined in a user defined header file.Now while linking  the 
main object file with the corresponding object file  of the header file, the 
error says "multiple definition of the function in the object file of the 
corresponding .C file of the header file & it also says that the function is 
first defined in main.o. It also gives a warning messg saying  that size of 
the function is changed in the object file .
    Pls reply to the problem if anyone has any idea about that type of 
error...
