Question about Makefiles and "ui" files

Hi,
I have some problem when using "ui" files. I have create a project (prj), 
when I add a "ui" file in  in the directory "prj/prj", everything works fine. 
But, when I create a subdir "ui" and create there a "ui" files, it seems that 
the Makefile.* files generated are not correct, because it does not compile 
"libui.a" which is the static library file of the corresponding library. 
I suppose that I have to add something in "Makefile.am", but I don't know 
what.
Any ideas?
