working on a project download with cvs

Do you know why KDevelop would make compiler options, compiler warnings and 
linker options grey, so, they can't be changed (In a project I recetly 
download with CVS, and this is not the first time it happens to me with a 
downloaded project). ?
Especificaly this project is konverse (konverse.sourceforge.net).

PS: in this project, make message and merge is also deactivated I don't know
