trouble with kdevelop 2.0 and qt3

I've recently tried to start work on a gui project. Went out and got all
of the qt3 stuff and installed it (with no apparent errors... all the
library files built fine) when I work through the simple tutorials in the
Kdevelop manual I am getting compiler errors within th qt header files
themselves (usually the compiler can't find a file, or a syntax error) I
assumed that there was some error in my code, so I removed all of my code
and just left the #include directives, still came up with the same
errors. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem when they got
started and if they have can they please help, or at get me pointed in the
right direction.
