could not find /usr/local/lib/libjpeg.la

Hello!

While compiling KDevelop I got the next error: could not find
/usr/local/lib/libjpeg.la at linkage stage of kdevelop.
I compile it on IRIX6.5.5, using g++2.95.2 compiler.
I can not find such file on the computer.
I have only libjpeg.a and libjpeg.so.
What should I do?
