screen resize feature/bug

I'm a new user of kdevelop so I don't know if this is a feature or not.
RH7
Compaq XP1000 (alpha machine)
KDE 2.1
kdevelop 1.4
Redhat RPM installed.

When gdb sends back a crash report, kdevelop puts it in a window several 
times the width of the screen and resizes my kdevelop window along with it.
I have to slide it over several times to dismiss the bug-popup, then page the 
kdevelop window over more times to get to the upper right hand corner so I 
can hit the maximize button to return the window to a single screen in size.
