doxygen doesn't work

The problem doesn't seem to be with doxygen. After creation of the config 
files I can start doxygen within a terminal window without problems.
All the documentation is created and visible in konqueror.
When trying to view the docs in kdevelop it reclaims about a missing 
cofigfile for doxygen. Where does kdevelop look for the file and where does 
kdevelop look foe the api doc?
